About Us

The Highway was established in 2005 in a four hundred square foot storefront. A small selection representing only American glass blowers foot marked our niche. Relentless guerrilla advertising and a loyal customer base helped us evolve into a respectable glass retailer. The Highway out grew its minimal space over the course of the next five years. Finally prompting a need to relocate and update our image. We have moved to a gallery space where we can showcase the high end art we acquire. We love all things local/Chicago. We make it a point to support our locals and their art. Here at The Highway, we enjoy meeting new artists, viewing their work, and building great relationships. Finding locals that make products other than glass pipes has become something of an obsession for us. Enjoy all The Highway is. After all, it is for our locals. We are made in America.
